BAFB Runway Strobe Lighting
Location: Central Taxiway Barksdale Air Force Base Bossier City, LA The purpose of this project was to remove an existing 12-way underground duct bank located beneath the taxiway and install a new 4" 9-way underground duct bank with new medium voltage cables to feed runway strobe lights and runway marker lights. This was a 24-hour operation which lasted for over 2 weeks. After the new duct bank was installed and the wires were connected and tested, the taxiway which was removed was re-poured with 650 Flex concrete 24" thick. Vanderberg Construction acted as general contractor on this project. no pictures are available due to security reasons |
